luminous work -- laylage courie

I make things from words. Poetry, sound, theater, collage.

i make things from words.  things that intend towards light.  here is that round box from the attic.  inside, letters, photographs, unlabeled cassette tapes.  some embossed invitations to my imaginative parties, which are select and increasingly irregular.  like you, i grow old.  i keep my hands busy and my mind occupied.  if it would be better to hold something in your hands other than a machine send me a message and i will send you something real.

take off all-a-sudden

The first music video from these fountains rare here is up on youtube.  "black birds" is the last track on the album.  The lyrics echo track 1  where I'm standing outside a sanitorium watching black birds take off all-a-sudden the tops of trees and my heart goes with them like there's a fishing line between the flock and me.  I imagine myself as a fish they've caught.  But the fishing line snaps and I get away: this time.  "One day I'll be hauled from muddy water gasping for breath into the clear clear air."

After watching lots of females in music videos I had these requirements for mine: no make-up and NO LIP SYNCING.
